The National Committee for Geo/Hydro Sciences is established at the Austrian Academy of Sciences and works on the subjects pertaining to the UNESCO programme on hydrology (IHP) or geoscience (IGCP). This includes questions on global change, all areas of hydrology and water resources management, associated risks (e.g. mass movements) and environmental safety as well as mineral material and groundwater resources.
