UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (IHP) is concerned with the issues of water research, water resources management, education and capacity development. Since it was founded in 1975, the IHP has evolved from an internationally coordinated hydrological research programme into a comprehensive, holistic programme that promotes education and capacity development and is working towards advancing the field of water resources management and governance.
