UNESCO/Paris offers students internships for a duration of two to six months . Applicants must be enrolled on a course relevant to UNESCO at the time of application (possible subjects include: education, science, culture, communication and information, law, HR, business management, international relations, etc.). The role is unpaid and interns will not be reimbursed for any travel and accommodation costs. Applications should be sent directly to UNESCO. More detailed information is available here . The Austrian Commission for UNESCO is available to provide advice and further guidance.

Important information:  The number of applications generally exceeds the number of available places. It is up to the respective department to decide whether or not to take on an intern, and when. The selection process at UNESCO takes at least three months on average due to the high level of competition. A study visit of this kind does not entitle participants to a permanent position at the UNESCO secretariat in the future.
