Advisory committee - Transformative Education

In 2017, the Advisory Board "Transformative Education/Global Citizenship Education" was established at the Austrian Commission for UNESCO. Through cross-institutional expertise and content-related advice, the Advisory Board makes an important contribution to the implementation of the Education Agenda 2030, in particular to SDG 4.7:

By 2030, ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote  sustainable development, including, among others, through education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality,  promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship and   appreciation of cultural diversity and of culture’s contribution to sustainable development.

The chair of the advisory committee is Univ. Professor Dr. Barbara SCHULTE, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Education at the University of Vienna.
